SHATTERED GLOBE THEATRE

Shattered Globe is a professional ensemble-based theater celebrating its 33rd season. We produce a three-play season and run a unique training program in the city, the Proteges, which continues to be free of charge for accepted artists, so there is no barrier to participation.

Our mission states: Shattered Globe Theatre seeks to discover new connections between story, artist, and audience by exploring drama from bold, challenging perspectives and continuously redefining what it means to be an ensemble theater.

Shattered Globe’s culture is defined by a prioritized set of values. We believe by aiming to embody these values and by exploring the tensions created between values, our organization will be stronger and better aligned with our mission. The values that guide us are:

  • We root all that we do in a commitment to racial equity.
  • We have and show deep respect for all artists.
  • We support our ensemble.
  • We create new opportunities to amplify traditionally marginalized voices.
  • We seek to collaborate in all aspects of our work.
  • We produce work in intimate spaces.
