We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, serving the LGBTQ+ community in Chicago and the Midwest through the preservation of archival collections, circulating library materials, and educational and entertaining programming. We have been in Chicago since our founding in 1981.

Board Member duties & responsibilities:

The Board is designed to support the organization’s growth and support the success of the mission.

Board term & limits:

We have 3-year board appointments with an option to extend to a consecutive term for another 3 years. Executive committee officers are a 1-year appointment.

Financial commitment:

The Board is in a position where we ask all Board members to contribute financially, a give or get that is financially comfortable for them and also helps ensure that we meet our overall fundraising goals for the year.
