350 Chicago was formed to bring Chicagoland into the global climate movement of 350.org. Our chapter enables Chicagoans to transform despair about climate change into hope through tangible actions that make a positive impact on climate and the planet.

Board Member duties & responsibilities:

Our Board of Directors is non-traditional — we have strategically distributed a lot of the power of a traditional Board to other leadership bodies. It’s modeled after the “minimally viable Board” structure championed by the Sustainable Economies Law Center.

Board term & limits:

2 years and board members can be elected for repeat terms.

Financial commitment:

We ask our board members to assist the organization in the activities surrounding fundraising.
